Grants’ Group Financial Exec Charged With Larceny

Christian Lindberg is accused of stealing money from Grant Restaurant Group.
The director of operations for Billy Grant Restaurant Group has been arrested, accused of embezzling tens of thousands of dollars from his employer.
Police began investigating the possible larceny of funds from Grants Restaurant and Restaurant Bricco, both in West Hartford, and Bricco Trattoria in Glastonbury on Aug. 23.
William Grant, the co-owner of the restaurant group, went to police to report inequities in the financial records, police said, and an internal investigation that led to Christian Lindberg, 41, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, the director of operations.
Police said Lindbergh is accused of creating fake orders, then voiding receipts and stealing $52,402 between September 2011 and August 2012.
Lindberg has been charged with larceny in the first degree and was released on a $50,000 bond. He is due in Hartford Superior Court on Nov. 1
