Griswold Survivor Upgraded to Fair Condition

    Joel Gallup suffered a broken leg and elbow and his cheek and nose were shattered in a crash on Dec. 7 on Route 201 in Griswold that killed four of his friends.

    Gallup, the only survivor of that crash, is being treated at Yale-New Haven Hospital and his condition has been upgraded to fair.

    Sativa Cornell, 16, Steven Sklarz, 15, Dillion Clifford, 16, and John Clapper, 16, were all killed in the crash.
