Gun Control Advocates to Deliver Letters to Lawmakers

Gun control advocates plan today to deliver letters to the legislative leaders crafting a bipartisan bill that addresses the Newtown school shooting.

The letters come from Newtown victims, survivors, clergy and other groups who support a ban on high-capacity ammunition magazines and other gun control measures, according to a news release from Newtown Action Alliance.

The letters ask for a vote on a strong and comprehensive gun safety package.

A news conference is planned for 11 a.m. at the state Capitol.
