Gunshot Victim Hospitalized in Norwalk Shooting

A gunshot victim was hospitalized after a shooting in Norwalk Friday night. 

Norwalk Police Department's Detective Bureau is investigating a shooting on Sheridan Street that happened at 7:02 p.m. on Friday near the Lincoln Avenue intersection.

A male suffered non-life threatening injuries after being shot. An ambulance transported him to Norwalk Hospital.

Police said the shooting appears to have been an isolated incident after a "disturbance on the roadway." The department hasn't elaborated on the nature of the disturbance that escalated to gunfire. 

The name of the victim hasn't been released and no suspect has been identified at this time.
