Hamden Police Arrest 2 in Armed Robbery at Game Store

Hamden police arrested two men suspected in an armed robbery at a video game and electronic store on Dixwell Avenue that happened a couple months ago.

Two people, one armed with a rifle, stole a lot of electronic equipment and cash from Game X Change at 2165 Dixwell Avenue in Hamden on Sept. 8, police said.

Police obtained warrants for Martin Swain, 24, of New Haven, and Deandre Wilkins, 24, in the armed robbery. Hamden police arrested Swain on Oct. 28 after he turned himself in to police. He faces first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny charges and was held in custody on a $200,000 bond.

Then on Nov. 5, Hamden police arrested Wilkins after he turned himself in on a warrant  and charged him with first-degree robbery and second-degree larceny. Police also held him in custody on a $200,000 bond.

Wilkins is scheduled to appear in court in Meriden on Nov. 18.
