Police have arrested a Wallingford man suspected of stealing from a Shop Rite in Hamden and kidnapping a teenager.
David Vega, 43, kidnapped a 17-year-old boy and ordered him to drive him to a local parking lot during a larceny incident at the grocery store on May 26, police said.
Police charged Vega with second-degree kidnapping, first-degree threatening and sixth-degree larceny after he turned himself into police headquarters on a warrant.
Vega was held on a $250,000 bond and was arraigned in Meriden Superior Court on May 30.
