Police have arrested a Wallingford man suspected of stealing from a Shop Rite in Hamden and kidnapping a teenager.

David Vega, 43, kidnapped a 17-year-old boy and ordered him to drive him to a local parking lot during a larceny incident at the grocery store on May 26, police said.

Police charged Vega with second-degree kidnapping, first-degree threatening and sixth-degree larceny after he turned himself into police headquarters on a warrant.
