Two separate fires displaced 25 residents in Hartford on Christmas Day.

The first fire occurred shortly after 3:30 p.m. at 510 Garden Street. American Red Cross spokesperson Paul Shipman said that 13 adults and seven children were displaced because of the fire.

A team of five Red Cross members provided those families with temporary lodging and financial assistance for clothing and food.

The fire at 28 Babcock Street began just before 6 p.m. Red Cross crews assisted two adults and three children with temporary lodging and financial assistance, said Shipman.

The causes of both fires remain under investigation.
