Hartford Gang Leader Convicted in 2007 Drive-By Shooting

A reputed Hartford gang leader has been convicted of murder in a 2007 drive-by killing.

Donald Raynor, who will be sentenced next month, is also charged in connection with the shootings of five other people in Hartford in 2007 and 2008.

A Hartford Superior Court jury found him guilty on Monday in the June 18, 2007 slaying of 22-year-old Delano Gray, who allegedly belonged to a rival gang. An earlier trial for Gray's shooting ended with a hung jury in September.

Hartford police allege Raynor led the unusually violent Money Green Bedroc gang in the North End, which engaged in drug trafficking Connecticut's capital. His attorney disputes all the allegations.

Raynor faces a maximum sentenced of 60 years in prison.
