Hartford Murder Suspect Held on $2 Million

The man accused of shooting and killing a Hartford teen on Sigourney Street last month faced a judge today and is being held on more than $2 million bond.

Brandon Henry, 31, has been charged with murder in the Aug. 12 shooting death of 18-year-old Deon Palmer.

Witnesses reported four to six gunshots and police arrived to find Palmer lying face down. He was taken to Saint Francis Hospital, where he died of his injuries after surgery, according to police.

Henry is held on a combined bond of $2,099,000 on charges of felony murder, first-degree reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a firearm, along with first-degree assault in connection with a shooting on Hughes Street in March.

He's due back in court Oct. 17 and has not entered a plea, according to the court.
