The cruiser collided with a car, which then rammed through the brick wall of a church.

A damaged Hartford Police cruiser is towed away after colliding with another car on Albany Avenue early Friday morning.

Hartford Police are investigating an early morning car crash involving a police cruiser that sent a car into a church on Albany Avenue near Woodland Street.

Police said that a cruiser and a car collided just after 1 a.m. this morning, sending the car into the North United Methodist Church.

Police have not said if the cruiser was in pursuit of the car or what caused the crash.

The officer is in good condition, police said.

There is no word yet on whether the other person was injured.
