Hartford Police Investigate Shooting

Hartford police are investigating an overnight shooting in the capital city.

Police were still on scene early morning at 60 Wadsworth Street in Hartford and are interviewing potential witnesses. The incident happened at about 1:40 a.m., police confirmed.

The resident of the apartment was shot once in the groin when he went to check on a knock on his kitchen window and another bullet grazed his chest after someone fired at him from outside, Hartford police confirmed. The man, who police have not identified at this time, was in stable condition as he went into surgery on Saturday, police confirmed.

The department has yet not released information on the identity of the suspect or a description, but confirmed that investigators are searching for a suspect riding in a 2008 Mazda or Nissan, police confirmed.
