Tuesday was a grisly night for the Memphis Grizzlies rookie center and former UConn star Hasheem Thabeet.

The man known as "Hash" had barely entered Tuesday night's game against the Portland Trailblazers before his jaw met Zach Randolph's head. Thabeet left the game and it now appears he has a broken jaw.

In his first six games of the young season, Thabeet had a total of four points, 11 rebounds and six blocked shots. By comparison, last season in Storrs, he averaged 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks per game.

Now that Thabeet is on the shelf, both the number 1 and 2 picks from the 2009 NBA draft have been injured.

Despite the pain, he seems to be back and tweeting. He posted on just after 1 p.m.:

Goodmornin World... I Just Wanna Let Ya Know That I'll Be OK... Lets Finish This Week Strong.. "What keeps me goin is goals." Muhammad Ali
