Grab the Umbrella for Memorial Day

Tropical moisture moving north brings in locally heavy rain overnight. Rain will be widespread through Monday morning with pockets of heavy rain and the chance for a few thunderstorms.

Showers become more scattered late morning/early afternoon with the southeastern portion of the state staying the wettest the longest.

The soggy weather has forced dozens of cities and towns to cancel or postpone Memorial Day parades and events.  You can see a list of cancelled events here.

By the afternoon, rain will taper off while clouds stick around for the remainder of the day.

By the time you head out the door Tuesday, sunshine will be back.
