NBC Connecticut’s Heidi Voight was live on the "Today" show this morning, thanks to the many viewers who participated in the Run for Today Run event, Run for Babies, in April at Rentchler Field.
Several NBC stations participated in Run for Today to promote women's health and more viewers from NBC Connecticut got involved than at any other station.
Because of that, Heidi was on the "Today" show plaza, appeared with Al Roker met the whole cast and saw the Imagine Dragons concert.
"We love that they give back," Heidi said of Imagine Dragons. "They're a band with a big heart. They help families of pedeiatric cancer patients. They support music in schools, and that's something that's important to me and to so many people in Connecticut."
Run for Babies benefits March of Dimes.
