Two men landed in lockup after police pulled them over with 44 pounds of marijuana in their car, police said.

State Police pulled over the men on I-95 in Greenwich around 11 a.m. Monday for a routine motor vehicle violation.

A Trooper and his K-9 searched the vehicle and turned up two large bundles that contained 44 pounds of marijuana, police said.

Cedric Simpson, 30, of Jamaica, New York and Donovan Williams, 31, of Bridgeport, face drug possession, drug factory and intent to sell charges.

Both are being held on $175,000 bond and scheduled to be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Tuesday.
