Crash on I-95 North Sends 3 to Hospital

Connecticut Department of Transportation Traffic Cameras

Three people were taken to the hospital after a multivehicle crash on Interstate 95 Northbound in Stratford.

The crash happened around 1:20 p.m.and involved a jack-knifed tractor trailer carrying paper goods, a rolled over service van, two passenger vehicles, and a pickup. Firefighters had to cut the roof off one passenger vehicles and remove a door to get to the patient.

Three victims were transported to Bridgeport Hospital and three people declined treatment at the scene.

None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening, officials said.

State Department of Transportation crews were called to clear the debris.

I-95 was completely shut down for the duration of the incident.
