A mom said she her child wanders, so she bought new locks. They did not go in before the child wandered again, police said.
A Manchester mom told police that she had bought new locks because her 3-year-old child has a tendency to wander. She was going to install them Thursday, she said, but that was not quick enough.
Her child wandered outside and across a busy street Thursday morning, before the new locks went in, cops said.
Police were called to a supermarket where the child was found wearing an adult sweatshirt and wet pajama bottoms after crossing Parker Street, police said.
They charged Kristen Purrott, 26, with risk of injury to a minor and she will appear Friday in Manchester Superior Court.
