Freezing rain fell overnight causing untreated roads to ice over, leading to several accidents around the state Thursday morning.
Crews in Tolland responded to a crash on Interstate 84 East near exit 68 for initial reports of a crash involving a car and a snowplow, according to Tolland Alert. The crash turned out to involve only one vehicle and a snowplow was not involved.
Interstate 84 West was closed in Union between exits 74 and 73, according to CT Travel Smart. One lane is now open.
On the Windsor-Windsor Locks line, a vehicle has overturned on Interstate 91 North between exits 39 and 40, closing the right two lanes. There is another crash on I-91 South between exits 38A and 37.

A box truck rolled over on Interstate 91 North in Middletown. The northbound lanes of the highway were closed between exits 20 and 21, according to state police.
Icy conditions caused problems on Route 2. A tractor-trailer crashed in the eastbound lanes in Glastonbury, closing the highway near exit 10.

In Colchester, a truck carrying nitrogen crashed, closing the exit 19 ramp from Route 85 to Route 2 West, state police said.
Crashes were also reported on Interstate 84 in Vernon and Willington.
In North Haven, a car rolled over, hit a fire hydrant and caused flooding, closing Quinnipiac Avenue between Middletown and Nettleton avenues. The road has reopened.
The rain was expected to stop around daybreak and temperatures will rise well above freezing, ending the threat of icing, according to NBC Connecticut meteorologist Bob Maxon.
