Angel Medina, 28, a manager at the McDonald's at 100 Main Street in Southbury, is accused of being involved in the armed robbery of his own restaurant Sept. 2.
State police have arrested the manager of a Southbury McDonald's in connection with the robbery of his own restaurant.
Angel Medina was taken into custody Friday
At 12:24 a.m. on Sept. 2, police received a 911 call from the manager of McDonald's at 100 Main Street North, who said two people in masks and armed with a gun, a knife and a baseball bat, robbed the store. It was unclear if Medina was the one who made the 911 call.
State police have been investigating and arrested a juvenile in connection with the robbery Thursday.
The teen was charged with robbery in the first degree, burglary in the first degree, three counts of unlawful restraint in the first degree, larceny in the second degree, criminal use of a firearm, conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the first degree, conspiracy to commit unlawful restraint in the first degree and conspiracy to commit larceny in the first degree.
Medina, 28, of Waterbury, is charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in the first degree, conspiracy to commit burglary in the first degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the second degree, larceny in the second degree, criminal liability for robbery in the first degree and criminal liability for burglary in the first degree.
He is being held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court Monday.
