Juvenile Charged in Stabbing That Critically Injured Man in Middletown

A juvenile has been arrested and charged with attempt to commit murder after a stabbing in Middletown that injured a man so badly that he’s in critical condition.

The stabbing was reported around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. 

Officers responded to the 100 block of Pearl St. to investigate a fight and found a man had been stabbed in the chest and he was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police learned that eight to 10 males had been fighting in the roadway. 

Police have not identified the juvenile because of his age. 

He was charged with attempt to commit murder, first-degree assault, first-degree attempt to commit assault, first-degree reckless endangerment, two counts of first-degree, first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree breach of peace.
