Norwich Police discovered this marijuana growing operation in a apartment Tuesday afternoon.

A vehicle stop in Norwich on Tuesday afternoon led police to uncover an indoor marijuana grow that was set up to maintain a large scale growing operation.
Norwich Police attempted to pull over a vehicle operated by Peter Fliri, 25, in the area of Spaulding St. and McKinley Ave around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. Fliri attempted to elude officers twice before coming to a complete stop.
During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered over five ounces of marijuana packaged for sale.
As part of their investigation, detectives conducted a search of 12 Bliss Place, Apt. 1. There they discovered several mature marijuana plants, ready for cultivation, as well as grow lights, filtration systems and other materials needed to maintain a large scale marijuana grow operation.
Fliri and Andrew Croxton,25, an occupant of the vehicle, were both arrested and charged with a number of charges including possession of marijuana, conspiracy to sell marijuana and illegal cultivation of marijuana. Both are due in court on Dec. 13.
