Connecticut lawmakers are considering a bill on bedbug infestations and a public hearing will be held on Tuesday.

The proposals spell out the responsibilities landlords and tenants haven in the event of a bedbug infestation and establishes guidelines and procedures to exterminate bed bugs in venues other than public housing.

Bedbug infestations forced some local libraries to close down and go through thorough cleanings.
