Ledyard Police Invstigate Burglary

Ledyard police are investing a home invasion and burglary that took place Friday evening in the Gales Ferry section of town.

Authorities responded to Friar Tuck Drive around 5:45 p.m. when a security alarm was tripped, according to police.

Police said an air conditioning unit had been removed from one of the windows and an intruder had entered through the opening. Jewelry was stolen.

Authorities are investigating.
