Ledyard Police Make Burglary Arrests

    Ledyard police have arrested two people in connection with recent burglaries in the Gales Ferry area.

    Justyn Sheline, 26, and Dylan S. Rushing, 20, are facing charges.

    Police said the suspects were involved in burglaries on Parkwood Drive and Friar Tuck Drive.

    The burglary on Parkwood Drive happened Sept. 23. Stolen items include jewelry and a computer, according to police.

    Just a few days later, on Sept. 27, jewelry was stolen from a home on Friar Tuck Drive, police said.

    Sheline is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree larceny and one count of third-degree larceny. Police said Sheline is responsible for burglaries on Parkwood Drive and Friar Tuck Drive and that Sheline also stole from a relative’s home.

    Rushing, who is homeless, was arrested in Groton and is charged with third-degree and sixth-degree larceny. According to police, Rushing was involved involved in the burglary on Friar Tuck Drive and also played a part in helping Sheline steal from the home a relative.

    Both suspects were arraigned yesterday.

    Ledyard and Waterford police worked together to investigate the burglaries.
