Authorities are investigating after a person was shot in the head at a rural home in Stafford and taken to the hospital via LifeStar, according to police and the helicopter service.
LifeStar was called to Old Springfield Road in Stafford just before 5 p.m. on Sunday following reports of a shooting. The victim was taken to the hospital and the condition is not known.
State police and fire officials also responded to the scene.
