Lines Grow as Hostess Closes Shop

There are three Hostess shops in Connecticut and they have been busy since news broke this morning that the company is closing.

Employees of the shops in Bridgeport and Norwich said business has been nonstop all day as people buy up snacks that the iconic brand has sold over its long history.

Business has been nonstop, according to employees.

Shelves at the stores were bare.

At a Target in New Britain, shoppers purchased the last Twinkies by Friday afternoon, and only a handful of other Hostess products were left.

The closure comes just before Thanksgiving amid a bakers strike.

How did you respond to the news? Are you planning on buying a supply of Hostess products?
