Live Wires Down After Granby Crash


    A car slammed into a pole on North Granby Road this afternoon, bringing down live wires.

    Police are responding to the area 330 North Granby Road in Granby after a car crashed into a phone pole, splitting the pole and causing live wires to fall.

    The 37-year-old driver was taken to Hartford Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries, according to police at the scene.

    Connecticut Light & Power officials are on scene working to fix the pole. No power outages have been reported.

    The cause of the crash is unknown.
