Local Artists Compete in Final Battle Round of The Voice

You could say “The Voice” left the best for last, at least that’s what fans of some local singers think since Hamden’s Avery Wilson and New Fairfield’s Kelly Crapa are battling it out in the final battle rounds.

At 16, Wilson was able to get all four judges to turn around and ultimately picked CeeLo
Greene.

During tonight’s episode he is battling with Lady Gaga backup singer Chevonne for a slot and CeeLo called this a battle of youth versus experience.

CeeLo refers  to Avery as a child prodigy.

“He has one of the strongest voices I have ever heard, but he has to be consistent to win this battle,” CeeLo said.

Crapa, also a high school student, is on Team Blake and is competing against high-school senior Michaela Paige.

In the preview Shelton said Kelly has an answer for all of Michaela’s big moments.

“You surprise me, Kelly, you really do,” Shelton told the local teen. “Kelly really rose to the occasion.”
Adam Levine referred to the battle as a musical pillow fight.

We have to wait until tonight to see who won.
