Lockdown Lifted at Cheshire High School

There was a lockdown for half-an-hour because of a threatening text, school officials said.

Cheshire High School was locked down for almost half an hour on Friday morning after one student sent a threatening text message to another, according to officials from the superintendent’s office.

The incident was discovered at 7:40 a.m. and the lockdown was lifted 25 minutes later.

The student who sent the message was taken out of class and his or her belongings were checked.

School officials quickly deemed there was no threat and the building was secure, according to the superintendent’s office.
