Woman Falls to Death at Stamford Mall

Most of the Stamford Town Center mall closed early on Monday evening after a 25-year-old New Canaan woman fell seven stories to her death.

Police said they are investigating the woman's death as a possible suicide.

Stamford police responded to the shopping mall at 100 Greyrock Place after receiving numerous reports that a woman jumped off the seventh level and landed near the escalators on the third floor, police said.

Police found the 25-year-old conscious with multiple injuries. An EMT who was off-duty provided medical assitance until personnel from Stamford EMS and Fire Department arrived.
