Gov. Dannel Malloy will join President Obama at Ground Zero Thursday for a wreath-laying ceremony to honor those lost on 9/11.

The President made the decision to visit the site of the World Trade Center attacks after Sunday's announcement that a Navy SEAL team had killed Osama bin Laden in a compound inside Pakistan. News of bin Laden's death was bittersweet for the families who lost loved one's in the Sept. 11 attacks orchestrated by the terrorist leader.

Gov. Malloy was invited by President Obama to Thursday's noon ceremony to represent the 152 people who lived or had ties to Connecticut who died in the attacks.
