A Torrington man accused of assaulting an 18-month-old boy who was brought to the hospital with a fractured skull, broken left arm and other injuries will face a judge on Tuesday.
On Feb. 16, the boy’s mother brought him to Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington and a helicopter flew the boy to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, where he was treated for life-threatening injuries.
Earlier this month, a court issued an arrest warrant for Michael Brown, a 29-year-old Iraq war veteran.
Police said he was the mother’s live-in boyfriend.
Brown has been charged with first-degree assault and risk of injury to a minor.
Police said they are continuing to investigate.
