Man Charged With Sexual Assault in East Haven

East Haven police have arrested a 21-year-old man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl and said there might be additional victims.

William Flynn was arrested around 5 p.m. on Tuesday after a girl who is under the age of 16 told police she had sex with Flynn twice, but he forced her to have sex with him a third time, police said.

The victim's mother heard rumors that her daughter had a sexual relationship with Flynn and confronted the teen, who said Flynn raped her, police said.

During the course of the investigation, police were led to believe that there might be additional victims.

The victim told police that Flynn's past girlfriends were young, including a 17-year-old girl.

Flynn was charged with sexual assault in the second degree and risk of injury to a minor, both of which are felony charges.

Police ask anyone with information about this case or other possible sexual assault incidents involving Flynn to call Detective Danielle Germe of the East Haven Police Department, Detective Division at 203-468-3827.
