Man Charged in Baby's Death: Report

A baby likely died of Shaken Baby Syndrome.

A Stamford man has been arrested in connection with the death of a 3-month-old boy, according to reports.

Police told the Stamford Advocate that the child died on Friday and the likely cause is Shaken Baby Syndrome.

Osvaldo Romero, 22, was arrested on Tuesday night and charged with felony risk of injury to a child and second-degree manslaughter, according to the Advocate.

Court records show that Romero was convicted on larceny charges in 2006 and his parole was terminated in 2009 after a breach of peace charge.

Police told the newspaper they are investigating the possibility that the child was sexually assaulted.
