Bridgeport police are investigating a 5-car pileup that sent two people to the hospital, one in critical condition.
According to police, a 31-year-old woman was driving near the 2300 block of Fairfield Avenue when she collided with a car parked along the side of the road. Police said the impact pushed the parked car forward into several other parked cars.
A 25-year-old man who was asleep in the backseat of one of the parked cars was critically injured in the crash. Police said he was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment.
The driver was taken to Saint Vincent’s Medical Center with “less severe” injuries, according to police.
Police said it’s not clear whether alcohol was a factor in the crash.
