A man charged with setting a fire that killed a Branford woman in 2006 was convicted on murder and arson charges on Friday.
John Vailette was found guilty of setting the fire that killed Kathy Hardy.
About two days after the fire, investigators found a truck regularly used by Vailette that contained a silver serving platter and jewelry that belonged to Hardy, authorities said.
