Man Injured in Tree-Cutting Accident in Barkhamsted

Emergency crews responded to Ratlum Mountain Road in Barkhamsted for an accident involving a tree-cutting contractor on Monday morning.

Emergency crews responded to an accident involving a tree-cutting contractor in Barkhamsted on Monday.

The incident happened behind a home at 88 Ratlum Mountain Road around 10:30 a.m.

A man was taken out from a wooded area behind the home on a stretcher and a Lifestar helicopter was called to the scene to transport the patient.

The man was alert and talking to rescuers, according to fire officials at the scene.

The victim's name has not been released.
