A couple found a way to make money on Craigslist, cops say, but it was illegal.
An unemployed graphic designer has resorted to an unusual way to pay the bills, according to cops. It’s also illegal.
Florian Penev, 49, of the Bronx, New York posted an ad on Craigslist, offering his wife, 36-year-old Zdravka Zotkova, up for sex to strangers, for a fee, cops said.
In June “strangers” responded. Those strangers happened to be Norwalk cops, who arrested Penev and his wife.
Penev pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor prostitution conspiracy charge on Tuesday in Norwalk Superior Court and paid the $2,000 fine.
Zotkova’s been granted a court program that will result in prostitution charges against her being dismissed if she completes it.
The Associated Press called the house on Wednesday. Penev had no comment.
