Police Investigate Robbery at Plainville Bank

Police are investigating a bank robbery in Plainville and they are searching for the robber.

Police responded to Key Bank, at 133 East Main St., in Plainville around 3:43 p.m. Friday and learned that a man handed a note that said he had a gun and demanded money to a teller, but the man never showed a gun or weapon. Police have not released the amount of money the robber stole. 

The robber appears to be between 20 and 30 years old. He is between 5-feet-9 and 5-feet-11 and has a medium build, police said. 

He was wearing a light blue baseball cap, black sunglasses, a black coat, blue jeans and dark sneakers.

The Connecticut Bankers Reward Association is offering a $500 reward for information leading to an arrest.
