Man Robs Crowded Watertown Package Store at Gunpoint

A surveillance camera captured a suspect pointing a gun at the clerk in the Davis Street Package Store in the Oakville section of Watertown on Wednesday.

Watertown police are searching for a armed man who robbed a crowded liquor store.

The man walked into the Davis Street Package Store on Davis Street in the Oakville section of Watertown around 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to police. He pulled out a gun and demanded money from the clerk.

There were several customers in the store at the time of the robbery police said.

The suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of money and headed towards the Waterbury city line, according to police.

He is described as a being about 6'2" and 170 pounds with possible facial hair on his chin.

No one inside the package store was hurt.
