ID Released in Fatal New Haven Shooting

    New Haven police are investigating a deadly shooting on Ella Grasso Boulevard.

    New Haven police are investigating a shooting that left Lee McArthur, 29, of New Haven, on Tuesday night.

    The victim was shot several times in the upper torso near Ella Grasso Boulevard and Kimberly Avenue just before around 8 p.m., police said.

    Police closed off the intersection for several hours while they recovered evidence and searched for suspects. 

    McArthur was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

    Police are looking for a new model Ford Explorer SUV with a New York license plate last seen traveling eastbound on the Boulevard.
