Man Shot in Stomach in Meriden

Police are investigating the shooting of a 26-year-old man.

A man was rushed to the hospital Friday night after being shot in the stomach in Meriden, according to authorities.

It happened around 11:00 p.m., in front of 59 Springdale Ave.

The 26-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to Hartford Hospital.

He is listed in stable condition.

Police say a van, located on Maple Street, was seized as part of the investigation.

No arrests have been made at this time.
