Man Shot on Dixwell Avenue in Hamden

Hamden police are investigating a shooting on Dixwell Avenue.

Hamden police are investigating after a man was shot near the 800 and 900 blocks of Dixwell Avenue on Oct. 25.

The victim’s brother told police it happened around 12:30 a.m. when the victim was sitting in his car. According to police, a man pulled up behind the victim, got out of the car and shot the victim through the driver’s side window, then fled the scene.

Officers found the victim bleeding from a gunshot wound at a home on Alstrum Street. He was taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
