Dorian Villoverde is accused of stabbing his sister's boyfriend over a dispute about living arrangements.
A West Haven man has been arrested, accused of stabbing his sister’s boyfriend because he did not approve of the man staying at the house.
Police responded to 73 Savin Park at 4:10 a.m. on July 8 to investigate a stabbing.
Police, citing reports from the scene, said the boyfriend confronted Dorian Villoverde, 24, in his bedroom to talk about the disagreement and Villoverde stabbed the man in his lower abdomen, causing a lacerated liver.
Police said detectives recovered the weapon.
The victim was transported to a local hospital. Police have not released his name.
Villoverde was arrested and charged with assault in the second degree and disorderly conduct.
He was held on $25,000 bond.
