Man Stole $9K in Materials from South Windsor Machine Shop: Cops

Police have arrested a man accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of manufacturing material from a South Windsor machine shop.

Travis Worthington, 27, of Enfield, is accused of stealing around $9,000 worth of carbide cutting heads used in manufacturing from a business in March.

Investigators tracked some of the stolen items to a Massachusetts scrap yard and identified Worthington as the suspect.

On Thursday, police obtained an arrest warrant and served it on him.

Worthington was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary in the third degree, burglary in the third degree, conspiracy to commit larceny in the third degree, larceny in the third degree and criminal mischief in the third degree.

Worthington was held on a $150,000 surety bond and is due in Manchester Superior Court later this morning.
