Man Reports Murder He Did Not Commit to Get Speedy Response: Cops

Man told police he said he did not kill her, but wanted to.

A 19-year-Stamford old man was arrested on Wednesday night after calling 911 and saying he killed his girlfriend in an attempt to get police to come quickly, Greenwich police said.

Henry Jara-Villamarin called police from the parking lot of a high-end cupcake shop in Greenwich at 9:21 p.m., police said.

First, he told police that he had killed his girlfriend, according to the police news release. Then, he said he did not kill her but wanted to and for the dispatcher to send police.

When police arrived in the parking lot of Crumbs, they found Jara-Villamarin and his girlfriend in the front seat of a vehicle. He said they had gotten into a fight and he wanted her to get out of the car, police said.

She refused, so he called 911 and told the dispatcher he killed the woman to get police there quickly, according to police.

Police charged Jara-Villamarin with falsely reporting an incident and falsely reporting an incident concerning serious injury or death.

He is being held on $5,000 bond.
