A 59-year-old East Hartford man reported missing yesterday has been found.
Benjamin Carrero, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia, was reported missing on Wednesday when he did not return after going for a walk around the neighborhood, according to police.
Yesterday, police canvassed the area around East Hartford's Pope Park to find him.
A cellphone ping led police to Pope Park and state, East Hartford and Hartford police were all involved in the search.
Police said they also brought out a bloodhound to track Carrero's scent.
This morning, authorities said Carrero has been found.
