Man Wounded in Bridgeport Shooting

A 20-year-old man was shot and wounded on Saturday.

Marquise King, of Bridgeport, told police that a white Honda pulled up next to him while he was walking on Laurel Avenue by Norman Street and one of two men who got out of the car shot him.

King was shot several times and was taken to Saint Vincent's Medical Center for treatment.

The shooter and the other person ran from the scene, police said. King walked to a Laurel Court address, where police and medics responded, according to police.

King was conscious when he spoke to police officers.

Police found the Honda at the scene of the shooting and it was towed to the police garage.

Detectives continue to investigate and review crime scene evidence to corroborate the victim's story.
