Man in Critical Condition After New Haven Shooting

New Haven police are investigating a shooting.

A New Haven man is in critical condition after being shot on Monday night.

Nathaniel Wadley, 21, of New Haven, suffered gunshot wounds to the neck, abdomen and back, police said. He was found in front of 528 Valley St. around 10:45 p.m. on Monday.

This is the second time he has been shot in about a month, police said.

He had been shot on Oct. 7 in the area of Victory Drive and Rock Creek Road. He was also shot once in the back early on New Year’s Day of 2010, found in the parking lot of Soco’s Bar and treated at St. Raphael’s Hospital.

Wadley is a convicted felon and has been the subject of many investigations, New Haven police said.

He was transported to Yale New Haven Hospital on Monday and emergency surgery was performed. He survived the surgery, but is in critical condition, police said.

Detectives from the General Investigations Unit are investigating.

Anyone with information about this shooting can call the New Haven Police Department at (203) 946-6316 or the Investigative Services Division at (203) 946-6304 and speak with a detective.
