A mandatory water restriction that was issue in Southington has been lifted.
Residents had been asked to limit use of water outside and adhere to an odd/even schedule and to conserve water because of unusual warm weather conditions and lack of rain.
"The Southington Water Department, in its continued commitment to supplying quality water to the residents of Southington, is lifting the mandatory water restriction. We appreciate the concerted effort to conserve water during these past few months," the town posted on its website.
